Strictly Come Dancing's JB Gill shares wife's first thought on Amy Dowden partnership

Strictly Come Dancing's JB Gill has shared his wife's first thoughts on his dance partnership with Amy Dowden. The JLS star, who is competing in the current series of the hit dance show, revealed that his wife - also a professional dancer - was hoping he'd be paired with the Welsh dancer.

The duo are set to showcase their skills on the dance floor this Saturday during the second live show (September 28). The singer 37, isn't new to Strictly, having won the Christmas special in 2012.

In an interview with Radio Times, JB has shared: "My wife said, 'I think they want you to be with Amy.' I was very hopeful that I would get her. I've met Amy before and she's lovely. I knew I'd be in good hands."

Amy also expressed her hopes for the pair's success in the series. She stated: "You've got to aim high, but we're not going to put pressure on ourselves. We're going to enjoy every single week. Our only competition is us. And especially after missing out on last year. I just want to be part of it for as long as I possibly can to makeup for lost time," reports the Mirror.

Ahead of the second week of Strictly Come Dancing, JB Gill posted a video of himself dancing with his seldom-seen wife. The clip, shared on his social media, shows him rehearsing with Amy.

JB Gill was thrilled to have a surprise guest at his dance rehearsals - none other than his wife Chloe. He shared a video on social media showing the trio's dance moves, with Chloe proving she can keep up with the best of them.

JB captioned the post: "Had a surprise visit in rehearsals today from the one and only @mrschloegill! She got a sneak preview of my week 2 routine which is FULL ON! The vibes were undeniable! Can't wait for you all to see it."

Fans were quick to comment on Chloe's dancing skills, with one fan expressing: "I mean I'm a bit obsessed with your wife." Another suggested: "Chloe needs to be on Strictly," while others praised her moves and called her a "She's a complete VIBE! ".

Chloe, who has a background as a professional backing dancer, also took to social media to share her excitement after visiting the rehearsals: "Dropped into rehearsals today! Boyyyyy are they working hard this week! So excited for you all to see on @bbcstrictly this Saturday! #TeamJAmy."

The couple, who met in 2008 when JB was competing on The X Factor, tied the knot in 2014 and have two children together Ace, who recently celebrated his 10th birthday, and six year old Chiara.
