ITV Emmerdale fans 'work out' who Seth Dingle is after Zak's funeral

Fans of Emmerdale are currently guessing Zak Dingle might have a hidden son named Seth, after Sam Dingle seemingly hinted at such a possibility in the wake of the family patriarch's funeral.

The ITV series recently saw an outpouring of emotion as it said goodbye to the beloved character Zak (portrayed by Steve Halliwell), whose final wish was to be interred in his native Dales following his relocation to Scotland.

As the Dingles came together for a final celebration of Zak's life, viewers were taken aback when Tina Dingle (played by Samantha Power) made an unexpected appearance at her father's funeral, marking her return after nearly three decades.

However, the day proved overwhelming for Cain (Jeff Hordley), the newly appointed head of the family, who chose to spend the evening reminiscing with his sister Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper) and brother Sam (James Hooton), rather than joining the festivities at The Woolpack.

While reflecting on their father's life and acknowledging some of his more challenging times, Cain turned to Sam and remarked: "You were his favourite you know. Son I mean.", reports Leeds Live.

Sam replied: "I always thought it were Seth. Or our Butch", has since left fans scratching their heads over the identity of this mysterious Seth.

A confused viewer took to Reddit to express their confusion: "Seth Dingle? Who the heck is Seth? He isn't mentioned on the wiki. I know Seth Armstrong, but he wouldn't be described as Zak's favourite son!."

A second person responded, "Also what I thought as soon I as I heard Sam say Seth I was like who tf is that lol imagine it turns out to be another of Zak's never-ending long lost kids."

Another viewer joined the conversation, saying: "I rewound this bit twice to work it out. I still don't get it."

Meanwhile, someone else shared: "Yes I've just seen this and couldn't work out who he meant."

Could there be a mysterious Seth Dingle lurking in the Dale?
