Emmerdale Ross Barton star's cryptic three-word response to romance reunion on soap
by Joe Crutchley · Manchester Evening NewsEmmerdale's Ross Barton might be reigniting an old romance, as suggested by actor Michael Parr.
Michael initially joined the popular ITV soap in 2013, portraying the rogue character Ross Barton. However, in 2018, Ross departed the village alongside Rebecca White (Emily Head) and her son Sebastian White to embark on a new life in Liverpool.
Ross has frequently been referenced off-screen due to his son Moses with Charity (Emma Atkins). Yet this week, Ross made a dramatic return to the soap after a six-year break, featuring in the illegal fighting storyline involving Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle).
In a surprising turn of events during an unlicensed boxing match in the episode aired on 28 October, Ross was revealed as Billy Fletcher's adversary.

On Tuesday (October 29), actor Michael appeared on Lorraine to discuss his comeback - and hinted at a potential romantic reunion with Charity. When questioned if Ross has returned for Charity, Michael responded: "Well, there's certainly going to be drama there as they've got a lot of history.", reports Leeds Live.
"But she's not the main reason he's come back, it's Moses that he wants to be in his life. But when you put Ross and Charity together, there's always going to be trouble," he continued.

Michael also previously gave a sneak peek into what fans can anticipate regarding Ross' enigmatic past few years: "All will be revealed the week after, you'll find out where he's been, who he's still in touch with, and what's been going on in his life. But I don't want to give anything away just yet."
Earlier in the year, Michael shared his enthusiasm about returning to his role, saying: "I'm over the moon to be returning to Emmerdale. Ross is a character I'm extremely fond of and I'm excited to explore what he's been up to over the past five years. After seeing the scripts, I can't wait for the audience to see what's in store. One thing I can say is Ross' return will no doubt create fireworks."
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
