Liam Payne's girlfriend Kate Cassidy has revealed their plans to marry as she shared a fresh tribute to her late partner. The singer sparked an outpouring of grief when he fell to his death last week, aged 31.

He died last Wednesday (October 16) aged 31, after falling from the balcony of his hotel room in Buenos Aires. Liam and Kate had travelled to Argentina where they had gone to see his former One Direction bandmate Niall Horan perform.

A post-mortem examination has since found that he died of multiple traumas and "internal and external haemorrhage" as a result of the fall. Medics could not save him and he was 'instantly' pronounced dead.

In a new tribute, alongside a black-and-white photo of the couple embracing, Kate said that her heart was 'shattered'. She called Liam her 'best friend, the love of my life' before speaking of his 'contagious' energy and saying she was struggling to 'figure out how to live' without him.

She explained that the pair had written messages to each other as they dreamt of their future together - writing notes that they were manifesting. His, which he asked her not to open, pledged his hope that they would be engaged and marry within the year and be 'together forever'.

Kate went on to post a series of photos of the pair during their time together, including being seen wrapped up in the snow, wearing Minnie Mouse ears at Disneyland and playing with their adorable puppy.
