Strictly Come Dancing fans have been rushing to show their support for Chris McCausland as they claimed he has 'no idea' after his private comment to Dianne Buswell was exposed.

As fans of the BBC One dance show saw, it was an emotional weekend in the ballroom for the quick-whitted comedian as he swapped comedy for a moving waltz alongside Dianne.

Chris, who is Strictly's first blind contestant, and Dianne performed to the Liverpool anthem You'll Never Walk Alone, in a nod to Chris' beloved home city and football club.

The tear-jerking rotuine, went down a storm in the studio with the audience giving them a standing ovation as Dianne told Chris she was "so proud of him".

The judges, including Shirley Ballas who needed a minute to gather herself, were also quick to share praise for the routine before awarding them a total of 35 points out of a possible 40 points, their highest score of the BBC One dance contest so far.

It was then during Sunday night's (October 20) results show that it was confirmed Chris and Dianne had made it through to week six of Strictly's 20th-anniversary series, which is the show's annual Halloween special, and they'll perform a Samba to Stayin Alive’ by The Bee Gees.

But ahead of their new routine, Strictly has shared a reminder of what happened in the ballroom over the weekend via the hidden mics the contestants and their professional dance partners are wearing.

Following Chris' performance, the mic picked up a moment between him and Dianne in which he asked: "Did I do okay?" to which it sound like she said: "You did so good," before giving him more gushing words of praise and encouragement before they made their way over to host Tess Daly for their comments, with Chris emotionally collapsing into her shoulder.
