BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans demand to know 'where' as they're baffled by 'missing' news

Strictly Come Dancing fans have demanded answeres as they seem to think that there are dances 'missing' from the show's latest announcement.

The hit BBC One dance contest's 2024 series enters week eight this Saturday night (November 9) after a first for the programme last weekend. Fans of the show were treated to the first-ever 'Icons Week' wich saw the reamining couples peform to a song by a legendary band or singer.

It ended up being a rollercoaster of a night on the dance floor with JB Gill bouncing back from a partner swap as he performed with new dance partner Lauren Oakley to achieve his highest score of the series so far while Pete Wicks was left apologising to Jowita Przystal as their performance landed them bottom of the leaderboard.

But there's a new week ahead and this week's dance and song choices have been revealed. Starting with JB and Lauren and they'll be performing a Samba to Mas Que Nada by Sergio Mendes while Pete and Jowita will aim to bounce back with a couple's choice routine to The Best by Nicotine Dolls.

Another couple's choice will be performed by Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell to John Lennon’s Instant Karma! (We All Shine On) while Montell Douglas and Johannes Radebe, who survived Sunday’s (November 3) dance-off, will return with a Paso Doble to The Shapeshifter's Lola’s Theme.

Jamie Borthwick & Michelle Tsiakkas will perform the Argentine Tango to ‘Do I Wanna Know?’ by Arctic Monkeys, Shayne Ward & Nancy Xu will dance the Rumba to Cyndi Lauper’s Time After Time abd Tasha Ghouri and Aljaž Škorjanec will perform a Quickstep to Fantasy by Mariah Carey.

Also, Wynne Evans and Katya Jones will dance to MIKA’s Grace Kelly whilst Sarah Hadland and Vito Coppola will perform to Proud by Heather Small.

But following the announcement, Strictly fans were confused by the lack of certain dances in the line-up. @hartland_crochet_creations asked: "Where are the Charleston’s!!!!!" @guy_elnek27 echoed: "WHERE THE HELL ARE THE CHARLESTONS?!?!?!?"

@horses2112_ commented: "Is it just me or we haven’t seen hardly any jives or charlestons this year… seems to have been all the sambas (or is it just the couples that are left have already done those dances and I can’t remember)." @katievictoria88 wrote: "Ooo yay an Argentine and a Paso! But where are all the Charlestons at!?"

@janetsnakeholemacklin posted: "Love the songs this week but what is with the lack of charlestons? Only 3 couples have done them this series and 2 of them are already gone." @melaniebarton7 added: "Where's the jive and Charleston?how comes everyone has done samba, salsas."
