Former Strictly Come Dancing star Ola Jordan has 'confirmed' the an upcoming exit from the show as she also named who will 'go all the way' in the BBC One dance contest this year.

The former Strictly winner was discussing last weekend's live show in which Dr Punam Krishan and Gorka Marquez found themselves at the bottom of the leaderboard.

The couple had another tricky time in the ballroom last Saturday night (October 19) as they were awarded 21 points out of a possible 40 for their emotional and romantic Viennese waltz routine to She’s Always A Woman To Me by US singer Billy Joel.

After the performance, Shirley Ballas appeared to compliment Punam and Gorka's VT, which featured the former's young son, but did go on to add: "You are surprising yourself, and us, with the lovely delightful dancing you are doing. Just need to turn it up a little bit. Beautiful VT and I just think you are a doll."

Anton Du Beke, meanwhile, told Punam to "share" her "beautiful dancing", adding that she needs to "go strong" with her performance. However, Craig Revel Horwood said the routine "lacked musicality, it lacked energy in the body".

Strictly fans quickly defended the couple's routine, claiming it was undermarked, and the support translated into votes as Punam and Gorka were later seen making it through to week six of Strictly's 20th-anniversary series, which takes place this Saturday night (October 26).

Now, Ola has answered why the public are saving her despite the judges' score, as she told Mecca Bingo: "I think the bottom of the leaderboard very often gets saved. She did an okay job. For me, she was a little bit dragged around the floor by Gorka. She’s definitely one of the weakest dancers left in a competition."

"The leaderboard was right in some respect because you've got the Paul. Punam, Pete and Sam in the bottom of the leaderboard, they are all non-dancers. The rest above have had some sort of dance-related training, maybe apart from Chris, but he's very good. The bottom four that are on the leaderboard are really pretty much not dancers."

The professional dancer, who took part in Strictly as a pro dancer between 2006 to 2015 and won in 2009 added: "I think she was just lucky with a good dance, to be honest. I think the next Latin dance she gets; she will be out."

But on a more positive note, Ola didn't shy away on who she thinks will make it all the way to the final and be in contention of lifting the coveted Glitterball trophy. She added: "I definitely think Chris [McCausland] is going to go all the way. I think that Chris is very good. His bottom half is amazing, like his footwork and his timing, the Waltz timing was very nice, very crisp and very good. I'm very impressed."

It comes after Chris and his dance partner Dianne Buswell's latest appearance in the show's famous ballroom saw them dance a beautiful waltz which they to the Liverpool anthem You'll Never Walk Alone, in a nod to Chris' beloved home city and football club, which left the judges having to compose themselves and viewers in tears

The judges then scored them 35 out of a possible 40 points, their highest score of the series so far, and they were later seen making it through to another week, which will be Strictly's annual Halloween special.
