Coronation Street's Samia Longchambon told 'no way' over personal update as former co-star 'sheds tear'

Coronation Street star Samia Longchambon has surprised fans with a personal update. The actress took to social media to give a photo-based glimpse at how she'd spent her past week.

The first photo showed Samia, who is known for playing Maria Windass in the ITV soap, alongside her legendary castmate Bill Roache who she previously said 'couldn't resist' getting in a snap with her as they were visited on the set by Scottish singer Marti Pellow as he joined Lorraine's Change + Check campaign.

After joining the Change + Check choir for their second-ever single, the Wet Wet Wet star took the show's 'Love Is All Around' bus to soap's famous Trafford-based home and the cast were seen posing with the singer as he checked out some of Corrie's famous haunts.

At the time, Samia posted the selfie now on her main Instagram grid to her Instagram Story, which showed her and Bill alongside the 'Love Is All Around' bus, saying at the time: "Even Bill couldn't resist a selfie in front of @martipellowofficial's snazzy tour bus."

But alongside the photo in Samia's latest post was a big update. The proud mum of two revealed her daughter, Freya, celebrated her 15th birthday and was clearly in disbelief at how quickly time is passing as she said in reference: "My baby girl is 15.. say whaaat?!!"

A rare photo of the birthday girl showed her stood in their family home in front of a table of wrapped presents, a sprinkle cake and balloons to represent her new age.

And Samia's co-stars were similarly taken aback as Brooke Vincent, who played Sophie Webste in Corrier, wrote in the comments section: "15," alongside a single tear emoji and a red love heart.

Other images showed Samia enjoying some stargazing with her husband, Dancing on Ice star Sylvain Longchambon, and there was also another celebration in their household as their beloved pet pooch, Ralf, turned five.

Captioning the full post, Samia wrote: "This week.. 1. Lovely day at work when we had @martipellowofficial popping in on his cool tour bus and a nice excuse to get a selfie with our Bill @coronationstreet 2. My baby girl is 15.. say whaaat?!! 3. Star gazing or gazing at @slongchambon.
