Coronation Street's Jack P Shepherd worlds away from David Platt in glimpse at wedding preparations

Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd looked worlds away from his Weatherfield alter-ego as he gave a glimpse at his wedding preparations.

It appears the actor, who is famed for playing David Platt in the ITV soap, and his new fiancée Hanni Treweek are already pressing ahead with their nuptials, which they previously revealed would be taking place next summer.

It was confirmed back in June that the actor had popped the question to his long-term girlfriend Hanni while on a safari holiday in Tanzania. They had been regularly updating social media with the magnificent animals they had spotted on safari before moving on to Zanzibar.

Once their incredible trip came to an end, Hanni revealed Jack had popped the question. She took to her Instagram page to share the exciting news, writing: "05.06.24 I said YES to forever!!!" alongside a picture of the loved-up pair and a glimpse at her new sparkler.

And now, Jack is already on the hunt for a suit for the special day. Taking to his Instagram Story over the weekend, the soap star had ditched the skinny jeans and boots his on-screen character is often seen in for smart black trousers and shiny wedding shoes.

Alongside the post as he was seen tucking in his white shirt in the suit shop, Jack wrote on his Instagram Story: "Picking suits," before adding the Billy Idol track 'White Wedding'.

It comes after the happy couple confirmed that they've already started planning for their special day and shared a look at their gorgeous 'save the dates' that will be sent out to their nearest and dearest.

Taking to Instagram, Hanni shared a picture of the cards, featuring an illustration of the city where they'll tie the knot. Alongside the cards, the bride-to-be's hand could be seen gently placed on top of her future husbands alongside two glasses of celebratory fizz.

Captioning the post, which was set to the Bruce Springsteen track 'Secret Garden', Hanni, who has been in a relationship with Jack since 2017, wrote: "When thinking about our save the dates we wanted something original that celebrates our home in Manchester, the place we fell in love & built our life together.

"If you look closely, @dave__draws murals are all over the city & we couldn’t be happier with what Dave has created for us!! thank you for making something so special." She added: "26th July 2025 we become Mr & Mrs Shepherd!!"
