Horror fans can buy iconic props from Halloween films including Shaun of the Dead and Scream
by Miranda Pell · Manchester Evening NewsWith Halloween season in full swing, it is the perfect time for all those horror lovers out there to sit back, relax, and switch on a violent and terrifying film.
Halloween is the best time of year for spooky lovers - with horror-themed events popping up all over the country.
Next month props from famous films including Jeepers Creepers, Scream, Chucky, and Shaun of the Dead will go on sale at Propstore’s horror-themed auction.

The auction starts on Thursday 14 November and is located in London, however you can register for online and phone bidding if you can’t make it to the event in person.
Kurt Russell’s hat from The Thing, horror sci-fi, is expected to fetch up to £80,000. Russell’s character RJ MacReady wears the brown hat when he ventures from the research station into the freezing Antarctic climate.

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are well known for their roles in the acclaimed comedy-horror Shaun of the Dead, part of the Cornetto Trilogy, which has celebrated its 20th anniversary this year.
At the auction, Ed’s bloodied “I got wood” T-shirt could sell for anywhere between £3,000 to £6,000 alongside Shaun’s bloodied shirt and tie which is expected to fetch between £6,000 to £12,000.
James Cameron’s personal annotated shooting script from his 1986 film Aliens has an estimated selling price of between £20,000 and £40,000.
Other sale highlights include a Henry Winkler-autographed Ghostface mask with an autographed photograph from Scream which could sell for an estimated £30,000 to £60,000.

One of my personal favourites is Kurt Russell’s hat from The Thing (1982), which provides fans with a rare chance to own a piece of John Carpenter’s classic.
“We’ve got everything covered, from the fun of Shaun of the Dead to the sheer terror of Sinister 2. These lots capture some of the most unforgettable moments in horror history.”
Propstore’s Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction will take place over four days from November 14-17.
