by · GeekTyrant

A new trailer has been released for the indie comedy All Happy Families, starring Josh Radnor (How I Met Your Mother), Rob Huebel, Becky Ann Baker, John Ashton, Chandra Russell, Colleen Camp, Antoine McKay, David Pasquesi, Ivy O'Brien, and Lena Drake. The film is directed by Haroula Rose (Once Upon a River) from their screenplay co-written with Coburn Goss.

The film’s synopsis reads: “The Landrys gather for the weekend to fix up their family home in Chicago. Graham (Josh Radnor) really wishes his life was in a better place, especially since he's reconnected with his college crush.

“Sue (Becky Ann Baker) is looking forward to her next chapter when an incident at her retirement party forces her to question things, including her marriage to complacent Roy (John Ashton).

“Then, Will (Rob Huebel), the TV star blows in. What starts out as a benign family get-together ends up spiraling out of control as some shocking news threatens to tear everything apart.

This looks like a good film about family dysfunction and the weird stuff you just have to laugh at within your own family structures. Check out the trailer below, and watch All Happy Families when it’s released in select US theaters on September 20th, or on VOD on October 18th.
