‘Here’: When Is Tom Hanks And Robin Wright's Drama Coming To Streaming?

Director Robert Zemeckis reunites with his Forrest Gump stars with Here, which is mostly presented as a fixed camera shot on one area for the entire film. The official logline for the movie reads, “Here is an original film about multiple families and a special place they inhabit. The story travels through generations, capturing the most relatable of human experiences.”
Playing in previews Thursday and opening in theaters nationwide on Friday, Here also stars Paul Bettany, Kelly Reilly and Michelle Dockery.
Right now, the only way you can see Here is in theaters. Check your local listings for showtimes. When Here is made available for home viewing, the first stop for the film will be on digital streaming via premium video on demand.
Miramax is the production company behind Here and the film is being distributed by Sony Pictures Entertainment. As such, the film will follow Sony’s release pattern when it comes to Here’s release on PVOD and streaming video on demand.

While some films’ PVOD debut date depends on how well or poorly they do at the box office, Sony’s window from the day the film opens in theaters to its PVOD date is about six weeks.
For example, Sony’s Bad Boys: Ride or Die debuted in theaters on June 7 and debuted on PVOD roughly six weeks later, on July 23.
Also, Sony’s animated film The Garfield Movie was released in theaters on May 24 and was released on PVOD in about six weeks time, on July 9.
As such, viewers can expect to see Here on PVOD sometime around December 13.
What Streaming Service Will Get ‘Here’ First?
Sony Pictures Entertainment has a deal with Netflix to be the first streaming video on demand service to exhibit Sony’s films.
Typically, the streaming window for Sony’s films from the time they open in theaters to the time they debut on SVOD on Netflix is about 90 days, as demonstrated by recent films like Bad Boys: Ride or Die and The Garfield Movie.
As such, viewers can expect to start streaming Here on Netflix sometime around Friday, January 31, or Tuesday, February 3, since new films typically debut on Netflix on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Rated PG-13, Here plays in Thursday previews before opening in theaters nationwide on Friday.
