Life is full of surprises - no matter how much we try and control it.

Jaqueline, a 40-year-old mum of three, knows this all too well. She's a cam model and AdultWork ambassador who has found fame creating racy content alongside her husband of a decade, with the full support of her family, including her kids aged 14, 19, and 20.

From earning up to £1,800 daily on camera, Jaqueline's life has taken a dramatic turn for the better since she started camming. Her previous job as a cleaner came to an end after she was diagnosed with gastric neuroendocrine cancer, which made it hard for her to work through worsening conditions.

Seeking a more flexible option, she delved into the adult industry and there's been no turning back. Living in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, she’s enjoyed five successful years on camera, and has discovered a real love for her career choice.

The mum explained: "I hated my cleaning job, the other girls could be very b***hy, the pay was awful and there wasn’t any flexibility. In this industry, on the other hand, everyone I’ve spoken to is so friendly and willing to help.

"I’ve made lots of lifelong friends. People might think my job is degrading, but I found it more degrading cleaning vomit from urinals and sinks every weekend for minimum wage.

"Joining AdultWork.com gave me the freedom to work when I felt well enough, and allowed me to pay the bills whilst listening to my body. I never expected to love it so much or earn so well - that was a great surprise!"

Jaqueline shared her unexpected journey into the adult industry, which she found not only financially rewarding, but also empowering. Prior to her diagnosis, she realised something was wrong with her health as she was experiencing symptoms like acid reflux and stomach pain.

It took two years of persistent visits to the doctors before she was referred for an endoscopy, which revealed neuroendocrine tumours. Jaqueline was diagnosed with pernicious anaemia concurrently with her cancer diagnosis.

Despite the challenges, she's been managing her symptoms through diet and over-the-counter remedies like Gaviscon.

"My cancer is quite rare and slow growing, so I haven’t had any treatment yet," she added. "Instead I’m on surveillance.

"I have yearly endoscopies and, if any tumours get above 1cm, they will remove them. I currently have multiple all over my stomach lining, spanning around 4-5mm each.

"Over the past six months I have had lots more symptoms, including lower abdominal pain, joint pain and diarrhoea."

Jaqueline is awaiting a specialist appointment to determine whether these new symptoms are related to her cancer or indicative of another issue. While her health battles are ongoing, she finds strength and a sense of empowerment in her new line of work.

She said: "Having men tell they love the parts of my body I’ve always been insecure about, and actually pay to see them, gives me so much confidence!

"I have lots I would love to do, including collaborating with other content creators, reopening my agency (I previously managed a group of webcammers on AdultWork.com), and writing a book. Hopefully I will be able to retire in 10 years’ time."
