M&S has once again impressed shoppers, this time with a pair of chunky autumn boots that are said to be "comfy from day one."

Footwear for the new season needs to be both stylish and comfy, which is why shoppers are loving the Lace Up Flatform Boots. Costing £69, they have been praised for the "buttery soft" leather that apparently needs "no breaking in".

These sought-after boots can be bought in three versatile shades - black, dark brown, and stone. Sizes range from a four to eight, with some-half-sizes available, although they are proving very popular with shoppers online.

Using innovative Insolia Flex, these boots ensure correct foot placement and enhance the natural rotation of the ball of your foot, making them easy to walk in. With a modest heel height of 44mm for size 4, they also feature Freshfeet antibacterial foam padding to "minimise odour for all-day comfort".

The good thing about the chunky boots is their versatility, particularly for the autumn season. Whether worn with your favourite trousers, or with thick tights and midi dresses, they will compliment your entire cold weather wardrobe.

Currently averaging an impressive 4.8 rating on the M&S website, these Leather Lace Up Flatform Boots have earned a stellar reputation for their "super comfortable" fit and "gorgeously soft" leather material.

One satisfied customer said: "Really comfortable a great quality boots. I bought them for work but I wear them all the time now!"

Another buyer voiced: "Gorgeously soft leather, great fit and lovely quality. Perfect for walking around for hours and without the price tag that comes from other brands."

Fashion deal of the week

An M&S coat has been the "must have of the season" - and it's similar to the iconic Burberry trench.

The high street firm's Cotton Rich Longline Belted Trench Coat has been hailed as "the next best thing" compared to the designer coat. Even better? It costs just £79, compared to the luxury firm's £1,890.

Despite the cheaper price-tag, M&S' "sophisticated" design boasts the same timeless double breasted front and traditional shoulder epaulettes. With full lining and the firm's Stormwear technology, it has a "showerproof" layer shoppers are wearing in "all seasons".

Its smart design is complete with handy side pockets, buttoned cuff straps and a detachable belt you can use to "cinch" your shape. Currently described as "selling fast", the £79 trench coat is still available to buy in sizes 6 to 24.

A top seller for M&S, the popular Cotton Rich Belted Longline Trench Coat has been a major hit with fashion enthusiasts who say it is "this season's must have" and "the next best thing" to the iconic Burberry coat.

One glowing review read: "Love this trench, dress it up with a suit or casual with jeans, I wear mine with Adidas trackie bottoms and Sambas for that it girl vibe. A versatile coat that will see you through many seasons."

A second praised: "Great quality, well made. Obviously not a Burberry trench but to be honest the next best thing. Just right for this season's must have. A great price too."

Another thrilled customer proclaimed: "Best ever. Can dress them up or down. I got the ivory colour ones, look great with many wardrobe looks. Strong but soft leather, not too narrow and super comfortable. Highly recommended for a variety of looks", reports Birmingham Live.

One fashion-forward customer raved: "Absolutely amazing boots, soft and supple leather and oooh so comfy...2nd pair purchased...first pair in cream...worn at a wedding in a field...what a hit and cleaned up good as new."

Someone else gushed: "These boots are buttery soft, super cushioned and look great. They will look great with both trousers and dresses. I have wide feet and they fit perfectly and were really comfortable from day one with no breaking in needed."

Yet, not all feedback was glowing, with a shopper stating her disappointment: "Looked great, and seeing the reviews, ordered a pair. However despite saying these are a size 5 (which I take in M&S footwear) and the five label on both, I couldn't get my right foot into the boot! (and I tried several times on different days) Seriously, so I am having a trip to M&S this morning to return."

Elsewhere, River Island's £50 Red Double Buckle Chunky Biker Boots are a suitable alternative. Also, at Next, shoppers have been raving over the "non blister" £40 Forever Comfort Lace Up Boots.
