Nottingham recording studio celebrates 25 years with Grammy contending song

A recording studio in the city centre is celebrating 25 years in business and a Grammy-contending track. Nottingham’s Sirkus Studios was created in the 90s and decades later it is still making music and has a track record of number one releases.

The studio wholly produced, mixed and mastered the song 'Misti Blu Two' by the band Amillionsons, which is being evaluated for a Grammy consideration in two categories. This includes best traditional R&B performance and best remixed recording. Amillionsons is the band of the studio's co-founder and CEO Robin Junga, who has rebooted their noughties UK Top 40 song into 2025 Grammy contention.

The song features Taka Bloom, Chaka Khan and their brother Mark Stevens. Mr Junga said: “We’re all stoked. Usually only the mega league studios like Abbey Rd and Motown’s Hitsville USA survive 25 years!

"So many Nottingham and international names and genres we’ve worked with. The GRAMMY contending track is the icing on our birthday cake. Even if it doesn’t make if from the official list to the final five ’nominees’ for traditional RnB in November, it’s a major accolade.

"We’re so grateful to everyone who’s been any part of Sirkus over those years. Our mission is to keep passing that wealth of experience on to the upcoming generations of talent the best way we know - making more great music!”
