Boots knocks £44 off YSL 'must have' Black Opium Le Parfum as a Star Gift

Boots shoppers are flocking to get their hands on a designer perfume that's £44 off as part of the Boots Star Gift promotion. Black Opium Le Parfum would normally cost £110 for a 50ml bottle but has dropped down to £66 in time for Christmas shopping.

Black Opium Le Parfum is a 2022 addition to the massively popular Black Opium collection by Yves Saint Laurent. There are four perfumers behind the scent: Nathalie Lorson, Olivier Cresp, Marie Salamagne and Honorine Blanc.

It opens up with a spicy and fruity combination of Cinnamon, Pear and Green Mandarin alongside a heart of Solar Notes, Jasmine Sambac and Orange Blossom. The base is the most complex section and definitely lives up to the scent's vanilla-forward reputation with notes of Madagascar Vanilla, Bourbon Vanilla, Vanilla Absolute, Coffee, Vanilla Orchid and Patchouli.

It's pulled in an average rating of 4.9 out of 5 from across 692 reviews with 98% of reviewers' surveys recommending this product. One shopper said: "I love this scent for both day and night wear, it's long-lasting and smells so feminine and cute. Definitely a good one for my holiday."

A second penned: "A rich, luxurious expensive fragrance. Love the vanilla and musky and oriental undertones of this sensual perfume. One spray lasts forever so no need to apply it throughout the day or night. A must-have perfume to add to anyone's collection."

A third wrote: "This is a great addition to the Black Opium family of scents. I love them all and this scent is beautiful. It’s Black Opium with a big shot of vanilla. It makes the scent more creamy and sultry, and almost warm. The coffee cuts through the sweetness of the vanilla and makes for a gorgeous scent."
