Martin Lewis lands new ITV presenting role away from Good Morning Britain

Martin Lewis, best known as the Money Saving Expert and a familiar face on Good Morning Britain, has been announced as the host of an all-new ITV show aimed at helping viewers become masters of board games. Famous for his financial wisdom and recently revealed to have popped the question to his wife Lara with a game of Scrabble, Martin will lead the one-off special titled 'How To Win At Board Games'.

ITV shared their excitement about the programme in a statement: "Across this festive programme, Britain's most trusted man will give us the kind of top advice we expect – but this time via board games. He'll spotlight the top tactics and game-winning tricks behind the UK's most popular board games - including Monopoly, Scrabble and Connect 4 - and in the process try to take on the toughest of competitors while improving his own gameplay skills."

While offering viewers a twist with board games, Martin is set to maintain his trademark approach by interweaving "financial life lessons" into this festive edition of the show. The broadcast date is still under wraps.

Last month, fueled by fan speculations regarding his latest venture, Martin teased about filming a new project after taking time off from his demanding schedule for what he described as a "frustrating" TV appearance. Posting on X, once known as Twitter, he shared in early September: "Off to do some filming this afternoon, rare I agree to be a celeb contestant on something, but this one, I hope will be fun. Can't say what it is though, hopefully out later this year."

Following the shoot, he reflected: "That was a LOT of fun. If occasionally frustrating.", reports the Liverpool Echo.

Fans had been eagerly speculating about this mysterious new endeavour, tossing around potential shows like The Wheel, The Chase, and The Weakest Link, while others guessed he may join Richard Osman on House of Games.
