Our Yorkshire Farm's Clive Owen recovering after undergoing major operation

by · NottinghamshireLive

Our Yorkshire Farm's Clive Owen underwent a significant surgery, as shared by his ex-partner Amanda Owen. In an exclusive behind-the-scenes glimpse into their upcoming show Our Farm Next Door —revealed on the ITV programme Lorraine—Amanda detailed Clive's recovery from a hip operation and how the family is pulling together during the process.

Speaking candidly to the cameras, Amanda said: "There's a lot going on here. It's been a nightmare here. I've got children going to school, I've got children studying and children working and then he comes to me and says he's bored."

Additionally, she expressed her frustration, mentioning that Clive is not the easiest of patients: "He has had a hip replacement and he's a terrible patient. Everybody's just getting on and stuff's getting done but just not how he would like it. But most of the time we don't care."

Despite having separated, Amanda and Clive have maintained a friendly relationship and are in the midst of fixing up a dilapidated farmhouse for their new series—an endeavour fraught with difficulty due to adverse weather and additional setbacks. Offering insight into their project, Amanda said: "This actually belongs to use whereas Ravenseat is a tenanted farm. This has an amazing history and no one has actually lived here for over 100 years," while Clive highlighted another challenge: "There's no road to it at all."

The couple acknowledged that the weather was not on their side. Amanda elaborated: "It was never going to be simple. I'm not that much of a twit right? Ask me anything about sheep and I'll tell you what I think about them.

"Ask me anything hill farming, no problem. Ask me anything about home renovations, not a clue. This is all about the future. It's a big undertaking," reports Yorkshire Live.

In 2022, Amanda had issued a statement confirming her separation from Clive, saying at the time: "Clive and I have are sad to confirm that we have made the difficult decision to separate."

She added: "This hasn't been easy, but we both believe it's the right choice for the future of our family." Clive later attributed his "anger" as the reason that "drove her away."

The pair have nine children together, including Raven, Reuben, Miles, Edith, Violet, Sidney, Annas, Clemmie, and Nancy, with some pursuing studies, others working, and the youngest still attending school.
