“The Legend of the Vox Machina” cast members and creative producers Laura Bailey, Taliesin Jaffe, Marisha Ray, Sam Riegel gathered at the tavern in Critical Role-Land to announce, ahead of the Season 3 finale, that Prime Video has renewed the animated series for a Season 4. All three seasons have achieved a +5 modifier for television shows — otherwise known as a 100 percent Rotten Tomatoes score.

Based on the Dungeons & Dragons series “Critical Role,” “The Legend of Vox Machina” animates the D&D campaign to bring it to full, fiery life — with the original campaigners reprising their roles. In Season 3, the Chroma Conclave’s path of destruction spreads like wildfire while the Cinder King hunts down Vox Machina. The lovable band of misfits must rise above inner (and outer) demons to save their loved ones, Tal’Dorei, and all of Exandria. Viewers can stream this week’s finale on Prime Video to see how this chapter will close. But it’s safe to say that the world of Exandria will still need a lot of saving, and Vox Machina’s adventure is far from over.

“The fantastic team at Critical Role and Titmouse continues to deliver captivating seasons of ‘The Legend of Vox Machina’ and we are excited for more to come,” said Melissa Wolfe, head of animation, Amazon MGM Studios. “Our global Prime Video audience has embraced this series from the beginning and the fans, along with us, remain passionate about the characters and stories.”

The cast announced in a video that they are thrilled, excited, and grateful to be picked up for a fourth season, as well as thanking all Critters worldwide for their support. “We are beyond thrilled — and grateful — to continue the epic and wild adventures of Vex, Vax, Keyleth, Percy, Pike, Grog and everyone’s favorite character — Scanlan,” said executive producer Sam Riegel. “With each season, this show levels up, and we already have big plans to level up both our heroes and villains in Season Four.”

“The Legend of Vox Machina” is an Amazon MGM Studios, Critical Role, and Titmouse production for Prime Video. The series stars Critical Role founders and cast members Laura Bailey (“The Last of Us: Part II”), Taliesin Jaffe (“World of Warcraft”), Ashley Johnson (“The Last of Us”), Liam O’Brien (“Marvel’s Avengers”), Matthew Mercer (“Baldur’s Gate 3”), Marisha Ray (“Fallout 76”), Sam Riegel (“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”), and Travis Willingham (“Marvel’s Avengers”). The Critical Role cast also serves as executive producers alongside Brandon Auman (“Star Wars: Resistance”), Chris Prynoski (“Metalocalypse”), Shannon Prynoski (“Fairfax”), and Ben Kalina (“Big Mouth”).
