Scottish rock band Primal Scream have announced a 2025 tour with 14 shows across the UK and Ireland. Excitingly, the tour will kick off in Bristol.

The long-running band, who formed over 40 years ago in Glasgow in 1982, are set to release their 12th studio album, Come Ahead, in just a couple of weeks, on November 8. It will be their first new release in eight years.

And now, the four-piece rock group have confirmed that they will tour with the album in March and April 2025, with their first show scheduled to take place at the Bristol Beacon on March 31.

The band are no strangers to the city, having played in various Bristol venues over the years. In fact, their 2025 show at the Beacon will mark 25 years since they first performed in Bristol at the same venue, then known as Colston Hall, on June 7, 2000.

Primal Scream will be supported in Bristol by Baxter Dury, son of the late Ian Dury who rose to fame in the 1970s as the lead singer of rock band, The Blockheads. Baxter Dury will then go on to support Primal Scream at their shows in Southampton, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester, and Nottingham in April.

Brixton-formed band, Fat White Family, will support them at their London concert at the Eventim Apollo on April 10, while further special guests are yet to be announced for the shows in Leeds, Newcastle, Belfast, and Dublin.

Tickets for Primal Scream's 2025 tour will go on general sale next Friday, November 1, from 10am. However, fans who pre-order the new album 'Come Ahead', from the band's official store, will get exclusive access to a fan presale, launching from 10am next Wednesday, October 30.

The news comes as Welsh rock band, Manic Street Preachers, have also announced a 2025 UK tour, with a show at Bristol Beacon on April 26, just weeks after Primal Scream perform at the venue. You can read all about the Manic Street Preachers tour here.
