Art spectacle
Art Houz presents Memento Mori, a solo art exhibition by acclaimed artist and actor Nikil Inaya. This exhibition showcases a collection of new paintings and works on paper, paying homage to Inaya’s grandmother, Shanthanayaki Balasubramanian, whose influence profoundly shaped his artistic journey. The Latin phrase Memento Mori—“remember you must die”—serves as the central theme of this exhibition. Through a series of greyscale portraits, Nikil Inaya explores the fragility of life, using visual symbolism to evoke deeper meaning. Each piece, reminiscent of a pictorial sonnet, reflects on themes of mortality, tradition, and memory. Where: Art Houz Art Gallery, Vasanth Nagar; When: October 25-29, 10 am to 12 pm
