The Yankees faithful was eager to cheer for anything following the team’s heartbreaking loss in game 1 and pathetic showing in game 2. But, like the Yankees in game 3, many agreed that Joe was flat, and they weren’t afraid to share their thoughts about it on social media.

Another user wrote, “Yankee Stadium is so quiet right now. You would think Fat Joe was performing again.”
Someone else added, “Dear New York, Fat Joe is not Ice Cube. Sincerely, The rest of us.”
One fan even compared Fat Joe to Nestor Cortez, the pitcher who gave up Freddie Freeman’s walk-off home run in game 1 of the World Series, writing, “Fat Joe & Nestor Cortes battling it out for worst World Series performance.”
If the Yankees won game 3, I doubt many would continue to pile on Fat Joe like they have. But since they lost in an embarrassing fashion, both Joe and the Bronx bombers were an easy target.
Now, the 27-time World Series champions are on the brink of elimination. No team in MLB history has ever come back from an 0-3 deficit in the World Series, so if the Yankees hope to bring home another chip to the most accomplished franchise in American team sports, they’ll have to do the unthinkable.
