Combs, who turned 55 Monday (Oct. 4), was provided with nothing much besides the typical menu inside the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, per The New York Post. The rapper’s day was said to start with a variety of breakfast items including cereal, fruit and a breakfast cake. For lunch, around 11 a.m., Combs was offered pasta with marinara sauce, meatballs and a garden salad. Finally, for dinner at 4 p.m., the mogul will be offered chicken or tofu fried rice with black beans and carrots, according to the Federal Bureau of Prison’s national menu.

As previously disclosed by Combs’ attorney, Marc Agnifilo, the “roughest part” of being inside jail for the rapper was the food. On his first day, The Post reported he was given the choice of Swedish meatballs or a black bean burger with a side of egg noodles, green beans or a side salad. Mondays happen to be the one day lunch is not served with dessert or fruit.

However, the commissary allows inmates to access other sweets like Nutella, hot chocolate or candy, per PEOPLE. It’s safe to say no one threw any confetti or blew up balloons for the mogul’s lap around the run. Combs’ three requests to serve detention in the comfort of his own home as he awaits trial were all denied by a federal judge, court records show.

On Monday, Sept. 16, the 54-year-old rap mogul was arrested in Manhattan by federal authorities, six months after they raided his two homes in Los Angeles and Miami. His indictment was unsealed the following morning, revealing charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking and engaging in interstate transportation for prostitution. The allegations against Combs include sexual abuse, physical abuse, bribery and various drug offenses.

The most notable claims stem from his so-called “freak off” sex parties, where prosecutors allege women and men were drugged and forced to perform sexual acts at Combs’ pleasure. He was also accused of using video footage to blackmail the victims into compliance. While many of the suits since 2023 have been civil, this federal case has Combs facing criminal charges. He has pleaded not guilty. His trial is scheduled for May 2025.
