Sobhita Dhulipala joins fiance Naga Chaitanya and family at ANR Award ceremony

Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya celebrated the 100th birth anniversary of his grandfather, Telugu cinema legend Akkineni Nageswara Rao, during which actor Chiranjeevi received the ANR Award.

Actor Sobhita Dhulipala joined her fiancé, actor Naga Chaitanya, and his family to celebrate the 100th birth anniversary of Telugu cinema legend Akkineni Nageswara Rao (ANR) on Monday, October 28. Nageswara Rao was the father of actor Nagarjuna. The family marked the occasion by presenting the ANR National Award, instituted by the Akkineni International Foundation, to actor Chiranjeevi.

Several photos and videos from the event were shared on social media. In one of the videos, Sobhita was seen conversing with Chiranjeevi, while Naga Chaitanya and Nagarjuna stood beside her. She looked gorgeous in a minimalist green saree for the event.

Another video showed Sobhita in conversation with Naga as they attended the event. Naga Chaitanya opted for a formal look and sported a thick beard.

The event was also attended by actor Amitabh Bachchan, who presented the ANR National Award to Chiranjeevi. While receiving the award, Chiranjeevi folded his hands and showed his respect to Amitabh by touching his feet. One of the videos also showed Amitabh, 82, touching the feet of Chiranjeevi's mother, Anjana Devi.

Nagarjuna is the son of Akkineni Nageswara Rao and his wife, Annapurna, who passed away in 2011. In 1976, he founded Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad in her honor.

Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya got engaged on August 8. His father, actor Nagarjuna, announced the news of their union and shared photos from the engagement ceremony.

Nagarjuna wrote, "We are delighted to announce the engagement of our son, Naga Chaitanya, to Sobhita Dhulipala, which took place this morning at 9:42 a.m.! We are overjoyed to welcome her into our family. Congratulations to the happy couple! Wishing them a lifetime of love and happiness. God bless! 8.8.8 A beginning of infinite love (sic)."

Reports suggest that the couple may get married in the first week of December. However, an official announcement about the wedding date and venue has not been made yet.
