Telugu superstar Allu Arjun has officially announced the revised release date for his highly anticipated film, Pushpa 2: The Rule. Earlier scheduled for release on December 6, it is now set to hit theatres on December 5, 2024. The film reportedly faced delays due to production schedules.

The newly released poster features Allu Arjun in his signature Pushpa Raj avatar - dressed in a glossy blue shirt, with a gun in one hand and a smoking pipe in his mouth, set against a backdrop of piles of money. This appearance elevates his larger-than-life persona, igniting a wave of excitement among fans.

At the latest press conference for the film that took place in Hyderabad, producer Naveen Yerneni commented on the delay. He mentioned the film's initial release schedule in August, which got delayed to December. "After postponing it from August 15, we considered several dates. With films like The Lion King releasing, we aimed for a date that secured maximum screens, and December 5 was our best option," he said.

Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2 promises to continue the gritty, high-stakes drama of its predecessor, Pushpa: The Rise (2021). The film stars Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil, with a strong supporting cast, including Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj, and Anasuya Bharadwaj. The film's technical crew includes cinematographer Miroslaw Kuba Brozek, editor Naveen Nooli, and composer Devi Sri Prasad.

Produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, this action drama is one of the most expensive Telugu films, with a reported budget of around Rs 500 crore. With a three-year gap since Pushpa: The Rise, fans eagerly await Arjun’s return to the big screen as the rebellious Pushpa Raj.

Meanwhile, the December 5 release date helps Pushpa 2 avoid a direct clash with Vicky Kaushal's Chhava, which is scheduled for December 6.
