Amaran box office day 3: Sivakarthikeyan film is unstoppable

Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi's film Amaran continues to perform well at the box office. The film is set to become one of the top 10 highest-grossing Tamil films of the year.

Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi-starrer Amaran is proving that it is unstoppable with every passing day. The Tamil film, which is a biopic of Major Mukund Varadarajan, has gained renewed strength on Day 3, i.e., November 2.

The film, which hit the theatres on October 31, collected Rs 21.75 crore, according to early estimates. This is even more than its opening day collection of Rs 21.40 crore. The film saw a slight dip on Day 2, when it earned Rs 19.15 crore. The total collection of the film stands at Rs 62.30 crore, according to tracking website Sacnilk.

Amaran, directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, is one of the biggest Tamil releases of the year. With its collection so far, it is set to make its way into one of the top 10 highest grossing Tamil films of the year.

Despite the release of two big-budget Bollywood films - Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 - Amaran is going strong in the southern states of the nation. In fact, the film saw a growth in its occupancy percent as well on Day 3 with 84.40 percent in Tamil Nadu as compared to 81.70 percent on November 1 (Day 2).

Amaran, directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, features Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi in lead roles. The film has jointly been produced by Raaj Kamal Films International and Sony Pictures Films India. It is an adaptation of the book series, India’s Most Fearless: True Stories of Modern Military Heroes by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh.
