Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi's Amaran marched past Rs 150 crore globally in just four days. The film, directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, has been receiving positive reviews from critics and audiences alike. The four-day opening weekend was fantastic for Amaran as it became one of the best performing films in Sivakarthikeyan's career. Now, all eyes are on Amaran's performance during the weekdays.

Amaran was released in theatres on October 31 amid high anticipation. The film is a biopic based on Major Mukund Varadarajan, who was killed on field during a mission in Shopian, Kashmir, in 2014.

Trade analyst Ramesh Bala, in his post on X, confirmed that the film entered the Rs 150-crore (gross) club worldwide in just four days. The positive word-of mouth is helping the film's theatrical run.

The Day 4 (November 3) collection was on par with the Day 1 collection at the domestic box office. According to the tracking website Sacnilk, the film reportedly raked in Rs 21.50 crore nett in India. On Day 4, the film earned Rs 21.40 crore nett in the country.

The biographical war film is an adaptation of the book series, India's Most Fearless: True Stories of Modern Military Heroes by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh. A chapter in one of the three books details a mission carried out by Major Mukund Varadarajan.

Jointly produced by Raaj Kamal Films International and Sony Pictures Films India, the film features Sivakarthikeyan, Sai Pallavi, Bhuvan Arora, Rahul Bose, Lallu, Shreekumar, Shyam Mohan, Geetha Kailasam, Umair Ibn Lateef and several others as part of the cast.
