Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi's recently released film, Amaran, entered the Rs 100-crore club in India in just six days. The film, directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy, saw a drop on Tuesday, November 5, which is quite usual for a weekday. The film is just days away from entering the Rs 200-crore club worldwide in terms of gross collection.

Compared to Day 5 collection, Amaran saw a slight decline in numbers on November 5. The film hit theatres on October 31 amid massive anticipation.

According to tracking website Sacnilk, Amaran is said to have raked in Rs 8.75 crore nett in India. The six-day total collection of the biographical war film now amounts to Rs 102 crore nett at the domestic box office. It is safe to say that Amaran is now heading towards a blockbuster.

Amaran is a biopic on the life of Major Mukund Varadarajan, who died in the line of duty in the Shopian area of Kashmir in 2014. The film is an adaptation of the book, India's Most Fearless: True Stories of Modern Military Heroes by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh. A chapter in the three-part series is based on Mukund and his mission.

The film features Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi in lead roles. Bhuvan Arora, Rahul Bose, Lallu, Shreekumar, Umair Ibn Lateef and Rohman Shawl are part of the supporting cast. Prodcued by Raaj Kamal Films International and Sony Pictures Films India, the film has music by GV Prakash Kumar.
