Shalini Passi became a sensation following the premiere of Netflix's Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives. During the show, what shocked audiences the most was the fact that she is the mother of a 27-year-old son, Robin Passi. Shalini Passi was just 20 years old when she embraced motherhood and welcomed Robin with her husband, Sanjay Passi. In a recent interview, she shared her experiences of being a young parent..
In an interview with Deepak Pareek, Shalini shared that Robin, and she are more like siblings. "I used to go to the toy store and get as excited as my son. I would take him to Disneyland and enjoy the rides with him. Then I would suggest, 'Robin, let's do skating classes,' and we went ice skating. I also taught him skiing and scuba diving. We were like siblings, growing up together," she stated.
She also mentioned that her Robin used to call her by her name. "For the longest time, he addressed me by my name, and it's only recently that he calls me mom," Shalini explained, adding that he would often call Passi's mother to complain about her. "He would call my mother and say, 'Your daughter has lost it.' He complained to her about me," she recalled.
Shalini recounted an incident involving aerated drinks. She shared how she would not encourage her son to have soft drinks. "I didn't want him to have them, so I mixed them with water. For the longest time, he didn't know their real taste. Once, at a birthday party, he tasted coke and told me, 'Mumma, I had coke, and it was so good. He said the coke at home was bad, so he would call my mother," she shared during the interview.
Shalini became a household name after her appearance in Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives, which also featured Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and Kalyani Saha Chawla from Delhi, apart from Bhavana Pandey, Neelam Kothari, Maheep Kapoor, and Seema Sajdeh, who were a part of the show since the first season.
