Sophie Turner opens up about 'incredibly sad' divorce with Joe Jonas: It was hard

Actor Sophie Turner has spoken about her divorce from singer Joe Jonas, revealing that the split put her life 'on pause' while she was in the United States. In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar UK, the Game of Thrones actor discussed her marriage and divorce.

“I’m going through a legal process right now where I can’t really say much, but it was incredibly sad. We had a beautiful relationship, and it was hard,” Turner told the publication during an interview.

She also added, “It felt as if my life was on pause until I returned to England. I just never really feel like myself when I’m not in London, with my friends and family. I was away for so long – six years – and it was when my friends were getting engaged, and when I got pregnant.”

Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas were married in May 2019 in Las Vegas, with a second wedding held in France in June of the same year. In September 2023, Sophie filed for divorce, which led to a custody battle for their children. The couple eventually agreed on shared custody, and the divorce was finalised last month, in September. During their marriage, Sophie moved from the UK to the US but returned to London after their separation.

Sophie Turner has been dating a British aristocrat, Peregrine Pearson, since the end of last year. In the same interview, she expressed her happiness as she spoke about him. “It came around very quickly. I just needed to go on a date to know how to do it again. That was the first date and the last date, and it’s been great,” the actor quipped, adding, “He’s lovely. He’s funny, and he brings out the cheeky side of me, the fun side. He lights me back up.”

The couple made their relationship public earlier this month when Sophie shared a post for his 30th birthday on October 27.
