SRK's Fauji returns to Doordarshan, 13 episodes to begin streaming today

Shah Rukh Khan's debut Hindi show Fauji is being re-aired on television starting today, October 24. All the 13 episodes will stream on Dordarshan.

Shah Rukh Khan’s debut series is set to be re-aired on DD National. The 13 episodes of the 1989 serial will stream on Doordarshan from October 24. The episodes will be broadcast every Monday to Thursday on DD National, allowing fans to relive the iconic show that launched Shah Rukh Khan’s stardom.

This comes ahead of the release of Fauji 2. The makers of the sequel starring Gauahar Khan and Vicky Jain in the lead, have begun shooting for the same in Pune.

Gauahar Khan, who plays Lieutenant Colonel Simarjeet Kaur in Fauji 2, shared her happiness of being part of the second part. “It's the first time I’ve agreed to a project without even hearing the script. The moment Sandeep approached me, I said yes because I’m a huge fan of Shah Rukh Khan. It’s a surreal feeling to be part of the Fauji universe, and it’s a proud moment to see Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic series being reintroduced,” she said.

Fauji 2, produced, creatively directed, and conceptualised by Sandeep Singh and co-produced by Vicky Jain and Zafar Mehdi, with Sameer Hallim as the Creative Head, the title track by Shreyas Puranik, sung by Sonu Nigam. Fauji 2 is a story by Vishal Chaturvedi screenplay by Amarnath Jha, and dialogues by Anil Choudhary and Chaitanya Tulsyan. The series marks the debut of film director Abhinav Pareek, who previously directed Sab Moh Maaya Hai and A Wedding Story. Fauji 2 also features Nishant Chandrashekhar as a director.

The show will air on Doordarshan and will be broadcast in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Gujarati, Punjabi, and Bengali.
