Tom Holland to Star in Next Christopher Nolan Film

Following recent reports of the critically acclaimed filmmaker Christopher Nolan‘s next film at Universal, it has been reported that Tom Holland has joined the cast. Earlier this month, Nolan had set his film at Universal with a 2026 summer release date that will star Matt Damon. At this time, the plot details have been kept under wraps but Nolan is expected to both write the script and direct the project.

This top secret venture will see Nolan produce alongside his producing partner and wife Emma Thomas under their Syncopy banner. According to The Hollywood Reporter, sources have revealed that Nolan’s film is not expected to be set in the present day, though it is uncertain if it is in the past or future.

Partnering with Universal once again, Nolan reunites with the studio that made his drama Oppenheimer which landed him his first Oscars, winning both best director and best picture. The film earned $976 million USD globally. It was previously announced that Damon will be joining the cast but the character details have not yet been revealed. Holland is expected to juggle Nolan’s project and likely Spider-Man 4 and Avengers: Doomsday next year. Stay tuned for more information.
