Rani Mukerji comments on not being invited to Abhishek, Aishwarya Rai's wedding, 'Poor guy...'

Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai's wedding was one big-fat event with whose who from the industry being invited. But Rani Mukerji was missing.

Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai had a beautiful wedding in 2007. From sangeet ceremony to traditional pheras, there wedding remained to be the talk of the town for a while. A lot of Bollywood personalities attended the wedding. However, there was one diva who wasn't invited. She is Rani Mukerji. Abhishek Bachchan and Rani Mukerji shared the screen space in Bunty Aur Bubbly. And many eyebrows were raised after Rani went missing from the wedding functions of Abhishek and Aishwarya. In one of the interviews, Rani Mukerji had opened up about the same.

When Rani Mukerji commented on Aishwarya and Abhishek's wedding

In an interview with Filmfare, Rani Mukerji had spoken about not being invited to her co-star Abhishek Bachchan's wedding and said that only he can throw light on that. She added that it is a personal choice over whom to invite for their wedding. She also added that one may be deluded and think that they are friends but then there are times when friendship among stars is only restricted to being co-stars on sets. She also added, "Moreover inviting someone to a wedding is a personal choice. Tomorrow when I decide to get married, I will choose the handful of people I want to invite. A lot has been blown out of proportion. Poor guy has been married for many years, we should all move on. I will always have fond memories of working with him."

Abhishek Bachchan and Rani Mukerji shared screen space in more than one film. They were together in Bunty Aur Bubbly, Yuva, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna Naa and more. Aishwarya Rai and Rani Mukerji were also once said to be very close friends. However, the rumours of cold war between the two surfaced in gossip mills after Rani replaced Aishwarya in Chalte Chalte.
