Chak De India is one of the most loved Shah Rukh Khan movies. Directed by Shimit Amin, the film focused on the women's hockey team and how a coach redeems himself after he is falsely accused of betraying his own country. In an interview, Annu Kapoor claimed that Shah Rukh Khan's Chak De India changed facts when it comes to the coach's identity. Kapoor stated how the story is based on coach Mir Ranjan Negi, but they changed his name to Kabir Khan in the film. "But in India, they want to show a Muslim as a good character and make fun of a Pandit (Hindu priest). This is something old, where they use the idea of Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb (Hindu-Muslim unity) to put a label on it," the actor said.
