Aishwarya Rai's interview about roka goes viral amid divorce rumours with Abhishek Bachchan

An old interview video of Aishwarya Rai is going viral wherein she spoke about her emotional roka ceremony which happened without her father.

Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan have managed to give major love goals with their chemistry. The two sealed their love in an intimate wedding in 2007. Well, the couple had a traditional roka ritual and their wedding pictures are all over the social media. Well, Abhishek and Aishwarya are in news due to their divorce rumors. The two have not confirmed anything as of now. A few years ago, Aishwarya spoke about her roka ceremony with Abhishek.

Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya fell in love on the sets of Umrao Jaan and during the premiere of Guru, he proposed to her. Aishwarya told Filmfare, 'He proposed, which was amazing and happened like really conversation from like the next day. You know, I still think abhi hoga, you know okay this has happened and you have come back as everything was in the world with. Suddenly, I mean, I didn't even know what a 'Roka' was and suddenly there's this call from you know their house to ours 'WE ARE COMING'.' Aishwarya also revealed that her father was not in town but Amitabh Bachchan insisted that that they were coming and Abhishek was helpless. Aishwarya recalled how Abhishek could not stop Big B. She said, 'Abhishek said 'I can't stop him, we are on our way, we are our way, we are on our way this evening, we are coming to your place'. She also said, 'I'm like oh my god, so this Roka is happening with the call to my father who's out of town, mum is here, we are here, they've all arrived with all emotional and all of this, and I'm like oh my god it's happening!'

The roka ceremony took place at Aishwarya's home and the wedding was held at Bachchan bungalow in Juhu, Mumbai.
