tvN’s 'Rented in Finland' will premiere on December 6th KST, and its first teaser hints at the laughter-filled, rustic life awaiting Lee Je Hoon, Lee Dong Hwi, Kwak Dong Yeon, and Cha Eun Woo as they land in a Finnish village.
'Rented in Finland' follows these city actors as they experience life in a remote village in Finland without electricity, running water, or Wi-Fi. Known for their universal charm, Lee Je Hoon, Lee Dong Hwi, Kwak Dong Yeon, and Cha Eun Woo will explore a new side of life in Finland, ranked the happiest country in the world, while blending in with locals.
Set against the backdrop of Finland’s Lapland, still images showcasing the actors’ rustic adventures previously garnered attention. Now, the first teaser video reveals their attempts at living the local way, from riding horseback while showering in a river, chopping wood, cooking meals over open fires, and interacting with reindeer. The actors’ journey to adapt to this environment—from wearing wool hats to doing laundry by hand and fetching water from streams—promises an exciting transformation.
In particular, Lee Je Hoon’s “I’ve completely let go” moment, featuring a charming dance in front of his younger castmates, steals the spotlight. The show unveils aspects of the actors’ personalities rarely seen in urban settings, like Cha Eun Woo playfully being called out by Lee Dong Hwi for “showing off” his soaked appearance. The developing camaraderie between these “city boys” is expected to bring a new dynamic to the show.
Rented in Finland is set to air on December 6th at 8:40 PM KST, promising viewers an authentic experience of actors embracing Finnish village life. The four city actors, stepping out of their comfortable urban lives and into the vast wilderness, will attempt to live sustainably and reach a “100% happiness index” by following the self-sufficient lifestyle of the Finnish Laplanders.
