“i shouldn’t have agreed”: Juniel regrets using fan gifts as mv props

Singer-songwriter Juniel posts detailed accusations against her agency.

On November 5 KST, Juniel posted a lengthy message revealing her struggles with her agency. She shared, “Two years ago, after a long break, I released a song called Dear as a celebration of my 10th debut anniversary. The agency asked to use gifts and letters from fans as props for the music video. So, I handed over fan gifts that were displayed at my home.

Juniel released Dear in 2022 to celebrate her 10th debut anniversary, and for the music video, she personally provided fan letters and gifts as props.

However, Juniel continued, “It’s been two years, and I haven’t received a single item back. The drawings, photos, letters, and gifts that fans gave me… I’ve asked the agency dozens of times to return them, but they only say everything is organized. With staff turnover, they keep saying it’s a new request they need to check. They’ve also given reasons like the items are in different locations, or they’re too busy to collect them. Recently, when I asked again, they said the company moved and likely couldn’t take everything, so not all props were brought over.

Juniel expressed frustration, saying, “They claimed everything was organized in a box. What if even one item is missing? I’d feel awful thinking about the fan who gave it to me. Maybe I shouldn’t have agreed to use them as props. I thought it would be meaningful to share items linked to our story for my 10th anniversary, but I regret it now.

Juniel debuted in 2012 with "illa illa" and held her first domestic fan meeting, "Happy Juniel", in September last year.
