Liam Payne's incredible drawings have been revealed in a heartbreaking post by his close friend who is mourning the singer's tragic death.

The former One Direction star died aged 31 after falling from the third floor at the luxury Casa Sur Palermo hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on October 16. The father-of-one was waiting for his US visa to be renewed so he could return to Florida, where he recently moved into a new home with his girlfriend Kate Cassidy.

The 25-year-old influencer had been in the country in South America with Liam until a few days before his tragic death. Their trip, during which they attended Liam's former bandmate Niall Horan's concert in Buenos Aires, was originally due to last five days but it then turned into two weeks, and she eventually returned home alone.

Liam's death left his family, friends and fans heartbroken and over the past 10 days, many people have paid tribute to the former 1D singer on social media. Among those who shared their memories with Liam and expressed their affection for him is singer Jamie Scott, who co-wrote "Night Changes" with One Direction.

In his moving Instagram post, 40-year-old Jamie wrote he felt "lost" after Liam's passing as he looked back at the friendship they had formed, and said the singer was "always present" for him despite their intense careers. Jamie said Liam was "funny" and had "the biggest heart, the cheekiest laugh." He also spoke of his "amazing" drawings.

While it is believed that Liam didn't share these drawings publicly before, the signature on the drawings is consistent with his.

Jamie also shared some photos of him and Liam, as well as an image with their partners, and one of the singer holding his friend's son. He wrote: "Dearest Liam, I'm lost today. We met at your first ever recording session, and from that moment on we became brothers.

"Over the years you became part of my family. It's hard to say that people in this industry become true best friends as lives are always busy and lots of people come and go, but you were an exception. Always there for me, always present, always kind.

"You had the biggest heart, the cheekiest laugh and were so funny. I would always look forward to seeing you cos I knew I'd be laughing all day. I'm so so sorry this world let you down. Me, Cat and the kids will miss you forever. I hope you know how much joy you gave people."

Jamie continued: "I want you to know I had some of the most fun making this last album with you and it lifted my world to be around you so much. I know you are at peace now, you deserve to be. And I can imagine you looking down on us doing all the things that really made you you.

All our thoughts are with Karen, Geoff, Nicola, Ruth and your gorgeous boy Bear." He concluded: "I'll miss you every day. Rest Well brother. xxx."

I really hope we'll get to hear the work he poured his heart into while working with you for this one last album."

Another asked Jamie to release the final album Liam was working on, saying: "Please please find a way to release this album that Liam poured his heart and soul into. He gave it everything I know, and he deserves to have it out here in the world to be loved. Proceeds could benefit his favourite charity, or his dear family. Please try."

A fan commented: "You created such incredible music together, with Teardrops being a truly special one. We will miss Liam forever." One more person added: "Thank you for being his friend. This world was never meant for one as beautiful as Liam. I'm sorry for your loss."
