Geordie Shore's Holly Hagan reveals secret health battle that's changed her life

Reality TV star Holly Hagan has had quite the transformation from her days on Geordie Shore, where she was known for her wild antics and partying lifestyle

Holly Hagan has come a long way from her wild days on Geordie Shore. She now embraces life as a mum to her 15-month-old son Alpha Jax and runs a fitness app with her hubby Jacob Blyth.

The 32-year-old reality star admits that their marriage often takes a back seat due to their busy lives. "We did have six years of memories of what life's like just together before business and before the baby," she shared. "We know the love is there but it can be a lot."

Holly also opened up about her health challenges, revealing her diagnosis of profound hearing loss earlier this year, which led to her wearing a hearing aid. She admitted it has been "so awkward" asking people to repeat themselves several times when they are talking to her.

She went on to advocate for normalising hearing aids, adding: "Some people need glasses and there isn't a stigma around glasses, so there shouldn't be around hearing loss." She first booked a consultation for her hearing three months ago and discovered she has 'severe to profound hearing loss, specifically for high frequency'.

Her hearing has been an 'ongoing issue' for her for quite some time and she used to avoid some social situations if she knew she would struggle to hear what people were saying. The reality star believes her frequent visits to nightclubs over the years played a huge factor in her hearing loss. During her chat with OK!, she also discussed motherhood and said it's 'great at times' but also 'comes with so much responsibility'.

"And it's just one of those things where I don't think anyone truly fathoms the decision that you're making when you choose to have a child. It gives you something to live for. It gives you something to focus on. Mine's definitely not a child who likes to just sit and do nothing. He is a wild child," she added to the publication.

When asked how she and Jacob keep their relationship exciting, she said: "It's so hard because we're parents first and then we're also business partners second and then thirdly we are a married couple. As much as we spend a lot of time together, a lot of it is on the business 90 per cent of our time we're literally working. Every now and again, we try to get out for a meal."

The TV personality believes her relationship, business and herself 'wouldn't survive' if they tried having another child at the moment. Holly said: "It's a sacrifice of essentially the nine months of being pregnant, feeling sick, not being able to do the exercises to full capacity [for their fitness app, Team Fitty]. Then it's the nine months or so after I'm trying to lose the weight and to get that fitness back."
