Friends star Courteney Cox 'hosting seances' for 'answers over Matthew Perry'
by Joel Leaver · Irish MirrorCourteney Cox is reported to be holding séances in the hope of communicating with the late Matthew Perry over "unanswered questions" following his death last year.
Matthew was found dead at the age of 54 at his home in California in October 2023 and his death was attributed to "the acute effects of ketamine". The late actor - who openly spoke about his past experience with substance abuse and addiction - is said to have become addicted to intravenous ketamine while seeking treatment for depression and anxiety.
It has now been claimed that his former Friends co-star Courteney, 60, has hosted multiple séances in an attempt to communicate with her late pal. She's however said to have been unsuccessful with her "Ouija board evenings".

A source told the Daily Mail : "Courteney has gathered a bunch of friends over multiple times and has organized Ouija board evenings to get in touch with Matthew. She believes there are still many unanswered questions about his life and death, and she wants to get to the bottom of it."
The source further claimed that although Courteney - who worked with Matthew on the NBC sitcom for a decade - has failed to make contact, she's not giving up yet. They told the outlet: "So far [she] hasn't managed to contact Matthew, she plans to continue the seances until she does."
Courteney previously revealed that she once did a séance at a house in Los Angeles that she used to live in, where visitors had "felt" a presence. During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in 2022, she recalled that she sold the home after a delivery driver said he saw someone behind her.
Earlier this month, Courteney paid tribute to her late pal Matthew on the first anniversary of his death. Alongside photos of them together, she wrote in a post on Instagram for the occasion: "Missing you today and always".
Following the news of Matthew's passing last year, Courteney - who played his on-screen wife on Friends - said she was "so grateful for every moment" she had with him. She also described her co-star as "funny" and "kind".
She wrote in her tribute at the time: "I am so grateful for every moment I had with you Matty and I miss you every day. When you work with someone as closely as I did with Matthew, there are thousands of moments I wish I could share."
Courteney, who played Monica Geller, went on to share on moment from her friendship with Matthew, who played Chandler Bing. She wrote: "For now here's one of my favorites. [...] Chandler and Monica were supposed to have a one night fling in London. But because of the audience's reaction, it became the beginning of their love story. In [the] scene, before we started rolling, he whispered a funny line for me to say. He often did things like that. He was funny and he was kind."
