Wayne Rooney breaks silence on wife Coleen's I’m A Celebrity stint with sweet message
by Emma Wilson · Irish MirrorWayne Rooney sent a simple message to his wife Coleen Rooney as she prepared to make her debut on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
The WAG, 38, was the ITV show’s biggest signing for this year’s series, and the mum of four can count fellow celebs including Danny Jones, Barry McGuigan, Oti Mabuse, and Alan Halsall among her jungle campmates for the next three weeks.
Speaking before leaving for Australia, Coleen confessed she was worried about leaving her sons Kai, 13, Klay, 10, Kit, 8, and Cass, six, who she shares with husband Wayne, but her husband sent her a sweet message of support as it was officially announced she would be on the show.

Sharing a photo of Coleen in her iconic jungle ensemble on his Instagram Story, Wayne added a clapping emoji, as well as a kissing face and a love heart. On Monday, Coleen revealed she had left two big whiteboards full of instructions for her four children, as well as the former England star, for while she was away.
She confessed she was “really anxious” about leaving her children to head Down Under, but told her followers that she has a huge support network of family and friends who are ready to step up and help out. “I am really anxious about leaving the kids, that's my biggest thing, for weeks and months that's been on my mind. But I've come to terms with it and I've planned and prepped, I've got an army of people - family and friends - school friends all helping out with the kids. They are going to be fine, they'll probably have a great time.”
Before she jetted off to Australia, Coleen said her husband was very supportive of her upcoming stint in the jungle, but had a word of warning for her. “Wayne is supportive. He did say, ‘You know you are going to be on camera 24/7?’ but I said, ‘Yeah that’s the show!’. He is fine with it all,” she shared, as she also teased a possible appearance in the future from the footballer. “If he had time, he’d have a go. I am not saying he would go in, but he wouldn’t be completely put off.”
Coleen is bracing herself for being apart from her four boys, and admitted she hadn’t even spoken about her going to Australia to her two youngest sons, Kit and Cass. But she is looking forward to having a break from being ‘mum’ for a few weeks, and signed up to the show because she wanted to do “something for me”. She added: It’s a massive thing as I am so close to the children, I do everything for them. I am a really organised person and so to take myself away from that is going to be difficult. But I’ve got a very supportive family around me and I know everything is going to be fine.”
