Liam Gallagher sends fans wild as he teases new music from Oasis after reunion tour

by · Irish Mirror

Liam Gallagher has teased Oasis will release a new album after reuniting for their 2025 tour.

Fans of the iconic rock band were left to believe hell had frozen over earlier this year when 52-year-old Liam and his 57-year-old brother Noel announced they were getting their band back together. The boys famously fell out in explosive style back in 2009 and vowed never to work together again.

But they are now to trundle around the UK, Ireland and other parts of the world in 2025 as part of a controversial tour. Fans may now need to brace themselves for the brand new music as the younger Gallagher brother has confirmed he would be more than happy to create new music under the Oasis name.

However, he has also hinted that Noel could prove to be the spanner in the works, as he would need to be convinced to pen new tracks too. The surprising revelations were made on social media when Liam took part in one of his infamous exchanges with fans. One follower asked him: "I know you won’t answer this but I wonder if you feel like retirement is inevitable after a come back tour?" The Wonderwall singer replied: "I’m up for carrying on but it’s not just down to me."

Another fan then asked: "Liam after the oasis tour are you gonna carry on doing solo stuff or will that be the end?” And the ageing rocker replied: “Nope I’m gonna be on my best behavior on this tour and hopefully Noel will see my potential and he’ll write some RnR and I’ll sing them and that’ll be that if not I’m of on holiday for 30 years.”

His exchange follows reports that he and Noel will be kept apart while they tour - with "military" level preparation in place. A source told The Mirror last week: "Noel and Liam are returning and reuniting, but don’t for one minute think that this is a tour about complete brotherly love and going out night after night and being together 24/7 like the old days. They will not be in each other’s pockets and effectively be separate entities that come together for necessary promotional work and the gigs. Other than that they will be apart for much of this reunion."

Described as a "military operation", the brothers will have separate dressing rooms and prep areas as well as their own travel itineraries, says the insider. It’s said the reason for the distance is to minimise any chance of the brothers locking horns again. "Any fallout would be a PR and financial nightmare," the source added. "Rehearsals will be the first time that they will be together for a significant amount of time working again. The atmosphere is sure to be electric, but also a little edgy." Liam and Noel will set out on their huge reunion tour next year. Noel famously quit the band in August 2009, saying he "simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer."
