We're all a bit obsessed with Taylor Swift right now. Love her or hate her, it's pretty difficult to not have an opinion about her.

If you don't love her, you're missing out... but who am I to judge?

With The Eras Tour still in full swing, it's gotten me thinking about all the fun Taylor-related facts many of us have no clue about. Even my fellow Swifties who have been blasting Taylor's music since we were toddlers.

Soooo, I did tons of digging on Reddit to find some of fans' favourite Taylor facts. Here are some things you probably didn't know — both about Taylor's music AND her as a person:

4. "Until 2014, Taylor didn't show her belly button for some reason (it was always those midriff-baring tops in the 1989 era). Because there was so much hype around seeing her belly button, such that a paparazzi photo of her in a bikini could go for a lot of money, Taylor decided to pose for a photo showing her belly button (with a fan) to normalize it."

5. "The backing vocals in 'It's Nice To Have A Friend' are from a Toronto children's choir. The choir was losing funding and needed money to stay open and support the underprivileged kids. Well, Taylor worked with them, and that choir is now set for life!"

6. "She wrote Calvin Harris' and Little Big Town's second-biggest songs, 'This Is What You Came For' and 'Better Man' respectively, and Kellie Pickler's biggest song, 'Best Days Of Your Life.'"

I'll also add here that the whole "This Is What You Came For" lore is a whole story in and of itself.

7. "Her cat is reportedly richer then her boyfriend." (Yes, we're talking about Travis Kelce.)

8. "She got in two car accidents in one day, with a reporter in the car with her."

9. "In an interview she did during the debut era, she says that if she wasn't a singer, she would probably work solving crimes. The interviewer then said, 'You gonna write a song about that?' and Taylor replied, 'Probably not. I don't think a lot of people could relate to it.' And years later, we got 'no body, no crime,' which is a murder mystery."

11. "Taylor invited JoJo to her house to chat when JoJo had to re-record her music after breaking free of her previous label's contract. This was pre-2019, so it's crazy that Taylor met with her, not knowing that a few years later she'd undergo something very similar."

12. "The 27-second intro in 'Last Kiss' is allegedly because Joe Jonas broke up with her in a 27-second phone call."

13. "She got the name Taylor in part so that she wouldn't face gender discrimination on her resume as she grew up."

14. "Taylor used to have the same manager as Britney Spears, back in the early 2000s." His name is Daniel Dymtrow.

15. "She and producer Jack Antonoff bonded early on over their shared enthusiasm for the snare drum sound in 'She Drives Me Crazy' by Fine Young Cannibals (1989)." They sampled that sound in her song "I Wish You Would."

16. "She used to babysit for Jeff Jarrett, a pro wrestler/wrestling promoter."

Joe Murphy / Getty Images

"It's pretty funny to think about because it's been said that Jeff was a low-level guy that nobody actively paid to come see, but his babysitter went on to become the biggest pop star on the planet."

17. "She has kept several of the same band members for nearly her entire music career."

"Amos HellerPaul Sidoti, and Mike Meadows have been with her since the Fearless tour in 2007. Others have popped in over the years, but she's incredibly loyal to her band, and they seem to adore her."

u/Resident_Ad5153

18. "She went on a date with Hozier in 2015." Or rather, it wasn't a date-date, but they were spotted looking "really cute" together at a GRAMMYs after party.

Does that mean they'll never collab? Because as a huge fan of both artists, I'm telling you, that would be INCREDIBLE.

19. "Stephen from her song 'Hey Stephen' is Stephen Barker Liles from the band Love and Theft, which many people probably know — but what many won't know is that he actually wrote a song about her too!"

Mindy Small / Getty Images

"It's a great song; very cute."
