Vice president hopeful Sen. J.D. Vance is not new to criticism.
He faced heavy scrutiny after suggesting Americans without children shouldn't have the same voting rights as those with kids.
"Let’s give votes to all children in this country, but let’s give control over those votes to the parents of the children," Vance said in 2021 when speaking at the Intercollegiate Studies Institute’s conference on the Future of American Political Economy.
Then there was the backlash after he famously referred to women without children as “childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives and the choices that they’ve made.”
And, of course, Swifties were less than thrilled when Vance took a dig at Taylor Swift following her endorsement of Kamala Harris for president, saying the pop star is "fundamentally disconnected from the interests and the problems of most Americans."
