ITV has confirmed when I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here will return to TV screens once again. Viewers have been eagerly awaiting the return of the hit show, which sees 12 celebrities shipped off to the Australian jungle for laughs, screams and some really quite terrible meals.

The broadcaster has shared the first glimpse of long-time hosts Ant McParlin and Declan Donnelly in the run up the new 24th series, as the pair appear to test run challenges for this year's round of celebrity campers. In the caption, ITV reveals that I'm A Celeb will return to screens on Sunday, November 17.

Ant and Dec, wearing white lab coats, douse a series of mannequins in gunge and insects, as they seem to take on the role of mad scientists. The advert is soundtracked by Britney Spears’s …Baby One More Time, and also sees the presenting pair firing pink gunge at the mannequins and pressing a button to plunge them into pools of green liquid.

In the trailer, a voiceover says: “Putting fame to the test, I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! returns Sunday, November 17 on ITV1 and ITVX.”

Speaking about the new series, an ITV spokesperson said: “This year, ITV’s much-loved presenting duo Ant and Dec are trading in their jungle jackets for lab coats, taking on the roles of mad scientists as they put the infamous Bushtucker Trials to the ultimate test.

“But which trials will make the cut? And which brave celebrities will be set to face them in the upcoming series?

“Find out when I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! returns to ITV1 and ITVX next month.”

The I'm A Celeb line up so far remains a mystery, although Coleen Rooney is rumoured to have nabbed a nice sum to jet off to Australia this winter, with bosses and viewers hoping she will reveal more about the infamous Wagatha Christie case with Rebekah Vardy.

While this year's line-up is still to be revealed, it has been rumoured that bosses have signed Coleen, 38, who is the wife of football star Wayne Rooney, following a very tumultuous couple of years following her court showdown with Rebekah Vardy.

Among the other names being whispered are former X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos, new addition to the Loose Women panel GK Barry, boxer and former Love Island star Tommy Fury, and footballing legend turned TV pundit Ally McCoist.
