Strictly Come Dancing's Chris McCausland leaves fans concerned with 'horrible' exit clue

by · DevonLive

BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans have raised concerns about Chris McCausland's fate in the competition after noticing a potentially worrying trend.

Chris and his dance partner kicked off tonight's show with a Samba, sparking debate among viewers who dubbed it the "death slot" due to its notorious reputation for preceding an elimination.

One anxious fan took to social media, writing: "They are putting Chris and Dianne first, hoping they will be in the dance off.! ! Please vote for them. They are national treasures #Strictly."

Echoing this sentiment, another fan posted: "Very concerned that dancing a samba and being first on means 'bottom two' for Chris this week. DO NOT MAKE THIS A REALITY. #scd #strictly", reports the Express.

However, not all fans were pessimistic, with one praising Chris's performance: "Chris was fabulous. It was definitely not his best dance, but I'm not worried about him going first. He was incredible."

Urging fans to rally behind Chris, another viewer noted: "Chris going first and doing a Samba puts him in a bad position, might need our votes tonight! #Strictly,".

Another fan voiced their concerns, stating: "Chris and Dianne getting the deathslot with a samba is all kinds of terrible luck. #Strictly."

In an interview with Claudia Winkleman, Chris himself acknowledged the ominous trend, saying: "We have lost four people so far this series."

"Two of them on Sambas, and we have had four dance-offs and three of them are people who have gone on first, so the maths is against us this week."

Bookies are abuzz with predictions on which celebrity duo might be leaving the dance floor this weekend, and it seems Gorka Marquez and Punam Krishnan could be in jeopardy.

Chad Yeomans from Betway has shared his insights: "This Halloween-themed weekend, Dr. Punam Krishan could be in for a real fright as she is the 2/1 favourite to waltz off the show for good."

He also noted that the Glasgow-born GP will be performing a chilling Tango to 'Sweet Dreams' by Eurythmics, adding, "The Glasgow-born GP is set to perform a spine-chilling Tango to 'Sweet Dreams' by Eurythmics, but she'll need a good week in rehearsals to avoid a nightmare on the dance floor."

Yeomans further heightened the tension by stating: "Ex-Olympian Sam Quek is also creeping into the danger zone, as she is the 3/1 second favourite to exit this Sunday. Meanwhile, Pete Wicks and Shayne Ward are both on thin ice and find themselves next in the betting to be taking their final bow on the show."

Last weekend saw Paul Merson leave the competition after a dance-off with JB Gill.

Reflecting on his time on the show, Paul said: "It's been really good. For anybody I talk to, I would say you've got to go on this show. It's amazing - everybody. There's a Tottenham fan over there called Lincoln, and he's nice! ".

Heaping praise on his dance partner, Karen Hauer, he added: "It's been amazing, honestly, amazing. I loved every minute of it, I've had a great teacher. She's been amazing, absolutely amazing, and I couldn't wish for a better coach."

"I've loved every minute of it. I can dance now. I won because I can dance. I couldn't dance before, but I can half dance now. It's a bonus, absolute bonus."
