Tragically, shortly after this incident, workers reported hearing a loud noise in the courtyard. Liam's body was discovered shortly after 5pm local time. Audio related to the case, obtained from the Buenos Aires security ministry, captured a call from a worker requesting help with an intoxicated guest.

Alberto Crescenti, director of emergency medical services, spoke to local news outlet Clarin following Liam's death. The Buenos Aires police issued a statement confirming the tragic passing of Liam James Payne.
