Princess Charlotte shares touching moment with Prince Harry during emotional goodbye
Princess Charlotte shared a sweet moment with her uncle Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, during the committal service for her great-grandmother the Queen two years ago today
by Jennifer Newton · RSVP LiveTwo years ago today, the world bid a final farewell to the late Queen after her remarkable 70-year reign.
Nearly two weeks following her passing at the age of 96, the former monarch was laid to rest in a full state funeral at Westminster Abbey and an emotional committal service at St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle.
Among the youngest mourners at both services were her cherished great-grandchildren Prince George, who is second in line to the throne, and Princess Charlotte.

They arrived at the chapel with their mum, the Princess of Wales and Queen Camilla, while their grandfather King Charles and dad Prince William followed the late monarch's coffin.
During the service, Charlotte sat next to her mum Kate as well as her uncle Prince Harry who was seated next to wife Meghan Markle. At one point, Charlotte was seen adjusting her hat before glancing over at her uncle.
Harry then briefly looked up, caught her eye and smiled at the princess, reports the Mirror.
Before the service, it was uncertain if George and Charlotte would walk in the procession in the chapel as their names did not appear in the order of service. However, they took their places for their second role of the day in the committal service seemingly following a decision by their parents William and Kate.
Earlier in the day, the young royals joined the 2,000-strong crowd at Westminster Abbey for the state funeral service of their great-grandmother, flanking their parents with an earnest presence. It was a deeply poignant moment. George, who represents the future monarch, and Charlotte, donning a smart black hat eerily similar to her mother's, witnessing the profound impact their beloved great-grandmother had on the world.
Barely glimpsed among the throng, George and Charlotte were closely accompanied by their protective parents throughout the procession. In a last-minute alteration to the planned arrangements, William and Katherine chose to walk beside their offspring instead of leading the way, lending a supportive hand to Charlotte.
After careful consideration and heartfelt conversations with their children, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge decided that George and Charlotte should be present at the solemn event. They diligently followed the Queen's coffin with their parents into Westminster Abbey.
Once the service concluded, the Queen's coffin was moved to the State Hearse at Wellington Arch, signalling the start of its journey to Windsor. It was during this sombre procession that little Charlotte appeared to remind George of the protocol, whispering to him presumably "you need to bow" as the coffin passed by.
Emulating the characteristic finger-pointing of her great-grandmother, Charlotte's gesture reminisced of the late Queen herself. Taking heed from his sister, George indeed respectfully bowed his head in tribute as the Queens coffin was transported away.
