Maintaining the best behaviour of three young children in public is no easy task, especially when the world's eyes are on you. However, Princess of Wales Kate Middleton seems to manage this effortlessly with her children George, Charlotte and Louis during Royal events, while still allowing them to have fun.

Her parenting style was clearly visible at the 2023 Trooping the Colour. Kate travelled in an open horse-drawn carriage with her trio, accompanied by Queen Camilla.

Following the event, body language expert Judi James spoke to The Sun's Fabulous about how the future Queen managed her children during the public outing. "Kate's firm but subtle signals ensure the children keep feeling enthusiastic and, in Louis' case, excited," she noted.

"Talking to her children there were a couple of gestures of what looked like guidance about when to wave. There was also a spreading gesture of both hands that would normally mean quite a severe message of when to stop or what not to do, too. She also put her hands below public view in the carriage to mime that 'stop' or 'end' sign to them as though warning them where the boundaries were, and on the way back she was doing small reward nods and smiles for their good behaviour, to ensure they were enjoying the event too."

Despite Kate's best efforts to maintain decorum, her youngest son Prince Louis couldn't resist the urge to be the centre of attention with his cheeky behaviour. His antics included pulling faces, saluting, and even sticking out his tongue playfully, reports The Mirror.

During their procession from Buckingham Palace, he dramatically reacted to the scent of horse manure by holding his nose, much to the amusement of onlookers. Later, while on the balcony of Buckingham Palace, Louis continued to charm the crowd as planes roared overhead during the impressive flypast.

He covered his ears from the noise and then pretended to pilot one of the aircraft himself. Back in 2022, he had already captured hearts, including that of his great-grandmother the Queen, when he engaged her in conversation on the balcony.

According to lip-reading expert Jeremy Freeman, who spoke to the Mirror, Louis inquired, "Are the Red Arrows coming? ", eliciting a hopeful "I hope so! " from the Queen. When the iconic planes soared above, Louis couldn't contain his excitement, exclaiming, "Yes, yes yes! ", and the Queen pointed out, "There it is!" Louis's enthusiasm didn't stop there as he exclaimed, "Oh, Red Arrows... Woah!" It's widely known that Louis adores the RAF display team and dreams of emulating them.

In fact, during The Big Help Out volunteering event in the coronation weekend of 2023, when asked if he might consider being a painter when he grows up, the young prince confidently declared, "No, a fighter pilot! "
