Since their initial meeting as students at the University of St Andrews, Prince William and Kate Middleton's romance has unfolded under an intense public gaze.

The pair dated for several years - even experiencing a brief split - before finally settling down and saying 'I do' in a dreamy Royal wedding attended by the world's elite in 2011.

They then began their own family, welcoming their firstborn, Prince George - who is second in line to the throne - in 2013, followed by Princess Charlotte in 2015. In 2018, they welcomed their youngest child, Prince Louis, completing their family of five.

Despite always appearing picture-perfect, they've had their share of highs and lows as a couple - and this year has thrown numerous challenges their way, with Kate having to step back from her Royal duties to undergo chemotherapy. William and Kate have spent the past two decades together - but the future King reportedly continues one sweet nightly ritual for his wife, once their children are sound asleep.

In an adorable act of service, Prince William treats Kate to a nightly gin and tonic - a sentiment that many can empathise with, as unwinding with a drink at the end of the day is a common desire. An unnamed source at the palace shared with Edinburgh Live, "William will bring Kate a gin and tonic. They look after each other, but in different ways."

The caring gesture highlights the strong support system they provide for each other, reflecting the deep connection that has grown over their years together, reports The Mirror.

Known to often prepare meals for her family, the future Queen is no stranger to the kitchen, having confessed her fondness for cooking teriyaki salmon and curry for dinner. Accommodating William’s milder palate, Kate revealed on Radio 1 that although she enjoys spicy food, she adds heat only to her own portion.

"I can't do too much spice, I start sweating. It's not attractive," William quipped during their interview, while Kate detailed her solution: "Whereas I like the spice so I have to sort of cook the curry and then add the spice, extra spice at the end," showcasing their considerate compromise.
